Located on The Preserve at Jack’s Point, Queenstown, the Timms Residence suspends out across a sloping section to maximise enjoyment of the spectacular setting.

Nature’s gallery is on display with floor to ceiling glazing, enabling panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu, while a strong schist stone chimney and ground level walls anchor the structure.


Katrina and Alister did an outstanding job designing our house for us; we liked their design philosophy and, in working through the design, we felt they struck a pleasant balance between aesthetic goals and practical and budgeting requirements for the home.

The upper level is constructed from exposed steel, glass and cedar. And an outdoor courtyard utilises frameless bi-folding doors, to provide shelter from the wind without impairing lake views.
