Lower Shotover House

The 415 square metre home begins with a frameless glass entry creating a flow into the hub of the home. The two light and welcoming living areas feature exposes trusses and large back to back fireplaces, a gravitational heart of the house.


We are thrilled at how our vision was transformed into the home we wanted – it’s beautiful, meets all of our requirements, and is a joy to live in.

The exterior is durable and low maintenance and features schist stone, Eurotray and Swiss Pearl cladding. The living rooms on the upper level open out to a covered outdoor entertaining area. The living rooms features a 3.6m stud height to capture the incredible views over central Queenstown and lake Wakatipu.

The footprint encompasses four bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe across its footprint. Epicurean occupants also enjoy the design’s large scullery and bespoke wine cellar. The exterior of the home is clad in pre-cast concrete panels, cedar weatherboard and slate tile roofing.
