Lot 8 Preserve

Located at the preserve in Jacks Point Queenstown, Lot 8 is designed as a series of wings that stretch out into the landscape each capturing its own view and creating sheltered outdoor areas between.

We are thoroughly enjoying living in our house and the steady stream of drive-by photographers keeps us amused most weekends.

On arrival the house appears to be hunkered down into the landscape, but as you enter the house the living areas step up and open out to cantilever above the landscape below.

We relied on Katrina and Alister to supervise the build in our absence and had no difficulty in liaising with them via the internet about various decisions. The builder was very impressed with Alister and Katrina and the quality and detail of their plans which he found very easy to work with.

- Jane Forster & Glenn Eggleton

The design is modern yet softened by timber features throughout, including exposed timber rafters and T&G ceilings. The thick schist stone walls anchor the house to the landscape whist the gently sloping roofs lighten the aesthetic and embrace the sun and stunning views.
